Beginning therapy can feel daunting. My role as your therapist is to meet you exactly where you are to help you begin the journey towards reaching your goals. You are the expert of your own lived experience and I am here to walk beside you in the direction of clarity, healing, and peaceful existence, one safe baby step at a time.
I received my Master's in Clinical Counseling and Psychology from Troy University in Pensacola, Florida. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and am trained in EMDR and DBT. I have experience working with individuals of all ages and orientations. I was previously an elementary school counselor and have worked with children, teens, adults, and domestic violence offenders for the past year. I am trauma-informed and passionate about helping children, teens, and adults reprocess their trauma safely so they may use it as a stepping stone instead of a stumbling block as they move through life. I have worked with clients to address anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addictions, and have a passion for connecting with children to help them learn the skills they need in order to navigate the struggles they face. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, strengths-based trauma-informed talk therapy, art-informed therapy, and aspects of play therapy.
